International vocational education and training

At different levels ibw makes a substantial contribution to European projects related to research on education and training. We regularly take part in EU projects as a partner or coordinator. In addition, we contribute our expertise to working groups of the European Commission for designing European education projects.

As a cooperation partner of the EU’s Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) we describe the VET system and educational policies implemented in Austria and, in this way, facilitate the transnational comparison.

    Bedarfsanalyse für die Region Pongau

    Trends wie Digitalisierung und Industrie 4.0 und die damit einhergehenden Anforderungen an eine moderne Informationsgesellschaft erhöhen die Nachfrage nach Qualifikationen im Bereich Informatik in der Wirtschaft. Um diesem Bedarf begegnen zu können, gibt es Bestrebungen im Pongau einen Standort für eine Höhere Technische Lehranstalt (HTL) in der Fachrichtung Informatik zu etablieren.

    Die vorliegende Studie erhebt relevante Basisinformationen und konkrete Einschätzungen zum regionalen Bedarf einer solchen Schulform sowie Hinweise zur inhaltlichen Orientierung aus Perspektive der Wirtschaft. Darüber hinaus werden sekundärstatistische Indikatoren zur Abbildung der aktuellen Arbeitsmarktlage bzw. der regionalen Beschäftigungsdynamik analysiert.

    Damit wird ein Beitrag zu einer evidence-basierten Entscheidungsfindung über die allfällige Etablierung einer Informatik-HTL im Pongau geleistet.
